Accreditation

Upon arrival in Perth, all participants are required to report to the VenuesWest Technical Information Centre (TIC) at the Western Australia Athletic Stadium (WAAS) in Mount Claremont, where they will be able to collect their accreditation and registration pack.

For athletes in particular, it is important as they will be automatically ‘Declared’ for their event/s when they register.

All athletes, accompanying persons and support personnel must present a passport or a government-issued identification with picture included (e.g. passport or driver’s licence) to collect their accreditation and registration pack.

There will be no charge for support personnel such as Team Managers, Team Medical Staff, or Press/Media who are registered and granted accreditation by LOC/WMA.

Please note, athletes, accompanying persons and support personnel will need to pay for their own transport to collect their accreditation. We suggest athletes, accompanying persons and support personnel utilise the train from Wellington St Station out to Claremont Showgrounds. From here Perth 2016 will have free shuttle buses that will take you to the TIC for collection of your accreditation. This is the only instance where you will need to pay for public transport.

What is the accreditation?

Each athlete will need to collect an accreditation pack in order to compete in the events registered for.

The accreditation is processed at the VenuesWest TIC where an athletes identification will be check to declare your registration is correct and you are able to compete in all the entered events.

The accreditation gives athletes access to all areas required for their event, plus access to free public transport for the duration of the championships.
