What happens if two of my events clash?

Unfortunately once the final competition schedule is set, there will be no changes. Athletes who have clashing events will need to prioritise and choose which event to participate in.

Is there are cost for attending the Welcoming Ceremony?

The Perth 2016 Welcoming Ceremony is free for all athletes, spectators, friends, family and the general public to attend.

Food vendors will be onsite from 5pm for you to purchase food and drink prior to or concluding the ceremony.

There will be a short fireworks display at the conclusion of the ceremony followed by a live band.

The deadline for online entries is Thursday 25 August 2016. Check with your WMA National Masters Affiliate for the latest date to submit paper entry forms.

What are the qualifications for entry?

Perth 2016 is open to only to men and women who were born on or before 26 October 1981 and who are medically fit to compete.

What venues will be used for Perth 2016?

The main stadium will be the Western Australia Athletics Stadium (WAAS), located in Mount Claremont. All track events up to and including 3,000m steeplechase, as well as Jumps, Combined Events and some Throws will be conducted here.

The second stadium will be the Ern Clark Athletic Centre, located in Cannington. This venue will be used for the 10,000m and 5,000m Run and Walk Events, as well as some Throws events.

The Marathon and Half Marathon will be located on the banks of the Swan River.

The Road Race Walking will be located on Perry Lakes Drive, adjacent to the main stadium in Mount Claremont.

The Cross Country will be held in the Alderbury and Perry Lakes Reserves, located within walking distance from the main stadium in Mount Claremont.
